Chimney Inspection in Dallas–Fort Worth
Understand your chimney’s condition before using it
An inspection helps identify visible damage, buildup, moisture concerns, and other conditions that may affect your chimney and fireplace.
ChimneyTrust provides documented findings so you can understand what needs attention and make an informed decision.
When to Request an Inspection
- You’re preparing to use the fireplace after a period of inactivity.
- You don’t know its maintenance history.
- You’ve noticed smoke, unusual odors, moisture, or deterioration.
- A storm or other event may have caused damage.
- You’re planning a repair or change to the fireplace system.
What We Assess
Depending on the system and available access, the inspection may cover the firebox, damper, visible flue surfaces, chimney cap, crown or chase cover, flashing, and exterior masonry.
We explain the inspection scope and access limitations. A visual inspection cannot establish the condition of every concealed area. Camera scanning or a more extensive evaluation may be recommended when the findings or circumstances warrant it; these are not automatically included.
Your Inspection Findings
You receive photos and a written report describing observed conditions, inspection limitations, and recommended next steps. Any proposed cleaning or repair is explained separately before work proceeds.
