These Terms & Conditions govern use of the ChimneyTrust website and the submission of Service Requests through it.

Website use

Website content, photos, descriptions, examples, and educational information are provided for general information only. They are not a substitute for an on-site evaluation of a particular property or system. Photos of previous work are examples of past projects and do not guarantee identical conditions, methods, or results at another property.

Service requests

Using this website or submitting a Service Request starts a conversation only. It does not create a scheduled appointment, a contract, or an obligation for ChimneyTrust to perform work. Any actual work is governed by the applicable written proposal, estimate, invoice, change order, or service agreement accepted by the customer. Scope, pricing, materials, scheduling, warranties, payment terms, exclusions, permits, inspections, and other project-specific terms are determined by those project documents.

Evaluations and recommendations

Observations and recommendations are based on conditions that are visible and reasonably accessible at the time of service. ChimneyTrust cannot guarantee discovery of concealed, inaccessible, underground, internal, latent, intermittent, or otherwise non-visible conditions, and conditions may change after an evaluation. An evaluation or service visit is not a warranty, engineering report, code certification, municipal inspection, or guarantee of future performance unless specifically stated in a written agreement. Work involving regulated trades, permits, or inspections will be handled according to applicable project requirements. Appropriately qualified trades will be used, and licensed trades will be used where required by applicable law or local requirements.

Customer responsibilities

The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete information, providing reasonable access to the property and relevant systems, and disclosing known hazardous, unsafe, concealed, or unusual conditions that may affect an evaluation or service. The customer should also identify property-access restrictions and any known permit, association, or site requirements that may affect the work. The person requesting or authorizing work represents that they have authority to do so for the property.
